Although it is still strange to have classes in Spanish, we can say that most of the teachers, not all, are supporting us to their best abilities. As Dana is doing a Spanish course and I am studying with my host family, we have got used to the language, more or less.
However, when it comes to previous knowledge, respectively to learning the Colombian Spanish, we have encountered some problems. First of all, when we as very structured German try to apply the grammar we were tought at Stenden, the Colombians usually tell us: "OH, that is wrong"...After raising further questions concerning the mistake, we are usually told: "This is the Spanish from Spain" :-)!
You cannot image, what this minor difference can mean sometimes: Last week for example, I was sitting in a cab, telling the driver "Siga todo recto" (meaning "straight on" in Spain). Here, one says "derecho" though. I was told that my sentence referred to my genitals. Afterwards, I knew, why the taxi driver was quite surprised by that phrase :-D!
As some of you have repeatedly asked, I added some pictures of our university to that blog. More pictures will follow as soon as I have bought a digital camera.
Due to the fact that some people in my host family, including me, have got the flu, this will take some more time. Moreover, it has been raining the entire weak and the lovely weather we had last week suddenly disappeared. Thus, I could not even take nice pictures, if wanted to. But as soon as we go on a trip, the pics will follow.

So, I guess that is enough for today. Nos vemos luego.
